3 volumes in-4 (sur 5), plein velin doré (salissures sur les plats), tranches marbrées, décrits comme suit :

- Tome 1 : titre, 8 + XXXVI + 258 pp., petites rousseurs éparses, manque de papier dans langle du dernier feuillet, 6 planches hors texte dont 5 repliées, un arbre généalogique dépliant de la famille des Médicis a été ajouté (rousseurs, une petite brulure sans gêne dans le document).

- Tome 2 : titre, 314 pp., petites galeries de vers aux 4 premiers feuillets, mouillure marginale en fin, une planche hors texte de médailles.

- Tome 3 : titre, 384 pp., accroc page 253/254, galeries de vers sur les gardes, 2 planches hors texte.

Les 3 premiers volumes sans les tomes 4 et 5 de cette histoire du grand duché de Toscane sous la domination des Médicis allant de Cosme Ier de Médicis (1537) à 1637 (mort de Ferdinand Ier).

Seconde éditiion parue la même année chez Gaetano Gambiagi.

Lauteur (1739-1801) historien était natif de Volterra.

Cette histoire est son principal ouvrage. Il le composa suite à la réorganisation des archives personnelles de la famille des Médicis dont il fut chargé. Galluzi était proche des idées des Lumières et partisan des idées libérales raison pour laquelle il quitta Florence pour un poste grand-ducal à Rome. Il retourna à Florence avec larrivée des français en 1799, devient ministre des finances mais doit senfuir à Paris à cause de larrivée des Viva Maria. Après la proclamation du royaume dEtrurie il retourne à Florence en 1801 et y décède peu après.

Appartenance manuscrite au premier volume de lhistorien, généalogiste, officier et homme politique Pompeo LITTA (1781-1852) qui participa aux batailles dUlm, dAusterlitz, Wagram lors de la guerre de la cinquième coalition contre lempire autrichien.
