Item Description
Nice Vintage Royal Navy Ships Wall Clock (Time Only, No Strike) for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself!
Nice looking wall clock here. Made by an unknown company for the Royal Navy in England. The clock case has 1920 incised on it.
Nice brass lacquered case here. The lacquer shows patina from loss and age, still looks good. The numbering and minute marking are done in black on the white background face. The hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The porcelain face has a crack in it running from the 10 to the 5 marks. The slow/fast adjustment lever is in place on the movement of the clock, and seems to work as well. Lever to open bezel is screwed on and still in place.
Has "Made for Royal Navy, 1920, England" and some sort of trademark symbol incised on the side of the clock case.
The brass case is all there. No dings or dents to the metal case. Does show some minor lacquer loss to the case, mostly on the bezel. The case has a hinged bezel that is securely attached to the rest of the case. The glass is intact, no cracks or blistering to the glass.
The clock has an 8 day mechanical brass movement. The wind spring feels sound when keyed. The clock will come with a vintage wind key. So, the clock is being sold in running condition.
The Royal Navy Ships Wall Clock stands 5.25" tall (back plate is 5.25"), by 7.25" across, by 3" wide. The clock face is 3" across. A heavy piece, so expect the shipping cost to reflect that. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

They are notour modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. Please ask anyquestions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.
