1824 2X LARGE ANTIQUE GEORGIAN REGENCY SISTER SAMPLERS - ELIZA & MARGARET SMART




Two large George IV samplers, worked by sisters, presented in old hardwood frames under glass as found.


The first by Margaret Smart, aged 8 years, 1825. The second by Eliza Smart, aged 9 years, 1824.


Matching / similar motifs and colours, family initials etc. houses, birds, flowers, plants, dogs etc.


One backed to linen, one slightly smaller than the other.


Some fading, loss of stitching etc. Other marks and wear from age and handling. The frames look to be about mid last century, generally good with occasional marks and wear. These have not been removed from their frames for any other inspection.



Frame sizes 50cm x 50cm & 52cm x 49cm. Approx.
