CASE:
This is an nice 3 piecegenuine and original FULLY SIGNED double hinged back and front solid 9 caratyellow gold round watch case. The case is in good condition with normal light wear to the case back and NOpersonalizations. The bezel is in lovely condition. The case sides show somepin head dings around 12-2pm from normal wear use. The inside of the case isbeautifully engraved with the wording ‘ROLEX (A few letters are rubbed) and ‘W&D'(Wilsdorf and Davis the founders of Rolex) it is also numbered. The gold markis 9 and .375. The hall mark is for LONDON and the date mark is for 1920.The case measures justover 2.5cms (25mm) across EXCLUDING the lugs and crown.
DIAL:
This is a wonderfulexcellent to minty condition bright white ROLEX SIGNED enamel dial. THE ENAMELDIAL VERSIONS ARE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS. All of the black painted ROMANnumerals are SHARP and crisp. The dial has a gold and silver enameled ‘dotted'outer chapter ring which is excellent. The dial is fully signed ‘ROLEX' inblack with very slight loss of the lettering in places (see photographs). Thedial has 2 lovely steel ‘Breguet style' hands which look to be in goodcondition. The crystal is brand new is made from plastic and is in excellentcondition.
MOVEMENT:
This is a wonderfulreally clean genuine ROLEX FULLY SIGNED high grade quality 15 jeweled levermovement. It is fully stamped on the MAINSPRING BARREL wheel. This fantasticROLEX movement is in working order. It has been oiled and timed by mywatchmaker. As always a full service would be recommended for continuedoperation and optimum timekeeping and performance. The movement winds fine andsets as it should. The watch keeps time to within approximately 2 mins per dayas tested over a 24 hour period. All in all though, this is a beautiful ROLEXoriginal movement. The crown is a new replacement as the other one had worn and made it hard to wind.
BAND:
This beautiful timepieceis fitted with what seems to be a slightly later used beige/brown 2 strandleather band. Although it is in used condition it is wearable and still looksgood. The band will fit a ladys wrist. I estimate up to a 7 and a quarter inchwrist comfortably. I can, if required provide a brand new similar band in DARKBROWN WITH A WHITE METAL BUCKLE with the watch which YOU will have to havefitted. Just let me know when you buy the watch.
