For sale is a beautiful vintage movie crew jacket with a wonderful history.

There ventes exceptionnelles is no paperwork to verify this information but I will share what I was told by the previous owner when this jacket was purchased from a collection in Manhattan:

Paul Simon first met Woody Allen when Simon made a cameo appearance in Annie Hall in 1977 and the two remained friends after.

In 1980 Warner Brothers was trying to sign Simon to their label and in an attempt to woo him, promised him a movie/album deal (which would later become One Trick Pony). The studio also had sample merchandise made, which this jacket is a piece of.

Simon had one personalized and gave it as a gift to Allen to try to get him to work on the movie.
