With the plate of the author - Gerald H. Rendall - to the front pastedown.

Rendall was an English educator and college administrator, and an advocate of the Oxfordian theory of Shakespeare authorship, a view he propounded in this work, and others. In his words, he became a "fervent and prolific convert" to the theory at the age of 80.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, fine. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, but with instances of spotting and light foxing.
